Frequently Asked Questions
All your questions about the Water Treatment were answered.
What is an RO Water Plant?
An RO Water Plant is a large-scale purification system that uses high-pressure pumps and RO membranes to remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, organics, and other impurities from water, producing clean, safe water for residential, commercial, or industrial use .
How does it work?
Water enters through a multi-stage process:
Pre-treatment filters out sediments, chlorine, and hardness to protect membranes
High-pressure RO stage forces water through semi-permeable membranes, separating purified water (permeate) from contaminants (concentrate) .
Post-treatment may include pH adjustment, remineralization, UV sterilization, or storage based on application needs .
What contaminants are removed?
RO can eliminate up to 99% of dissolved salts (TDS), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury), organic chemicals, bacteria, and viruses .
Is RO water safe to drink?
Yes. RO water is safe and clean. However, in low-TDS areas, it may be overly demineralized. Some systems add post-treatment remineralization or UV/ozonation to improve taste and safety .
